Students acquire the ability to analyse the social context and problem situations, while also synthesising and anticipating solutions. They acquire knowledge and an understanding of the research methods and procedures of empirical research in social work and the related social sciences. They acquire knowledge and an understanding of action research; to be able to collect information, analyse and interpret data. They develop a critical and auto-critical judgement and the ability to evaluate the conducted research. They learn to use research procedures and methods in research.
